Tour Plan
After an early breakfast in Entebbe or Kampala, you will begin the scenic drive southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through rolling hills, farmland, and roadside markets, with opportunities to stop for photographs and enjoy the changing landscapes. Along the way, you may pass through the equator line for a brief stop and photo opportunity. By evening, you will arrive at the gorilla highlands, where you will settle in and prepare for the next day’s trek.
The day begins with a briefing at the park headquarters, where rangers explain gorilla tracking guidelines and assign you to a gorilla family. Accompanied by expert guides, you will then venture into the dense rainforest, following trails and listening for signs of gorilla movement. The trek can take between two and six hours depending on the gorillas’ location, but the reward is incomparable—an intimate hour observing a gorilla family as they feed, play, and interact. This rare and emotional wildlife encounter will be the highlight of your journey. After the trek, you may enjoy a short community walk to learn about local culture before resting for the evening.
After breakfast, you will begin your return journey through the beautiful Ugandan countryside, retracing your route back to Entebbe or Kampala. You may stop for lunch along the way and pause at scenic spots for photos. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your gorilla adventure.
