From the thundering falls of the Nile to the misty jungles of Bwindi, every day promises an unforgettable wildlife adventure.

Tour Plan

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your safari guide will welcome you and give a short briefing. You will then transfer to your hotel for a relaxing evening before the journey begins.

After breakfast, you set off for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area. Along the way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walking safari to track the southern white rhinos, completing your Big 5 experience. Continuing north, you will arrive in Murchison Falls and enjoy views of the Nile as it squeezes through a narrow gorge, plunging into a thunderous waterfall. In the evening, you will enjoy a short game drive.

Rise early for a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, and possibly leopards. After lunch, take a boat cruise along the Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. Along the riverbanks, hippos, crocodiles, and countless birds provide spectacular sightings. You may also hike to the top of the falls for breathtaking views.

Today you journey southwest toward Kibale Forest National Park, driving through Uganda’s scenic countryside and tea plantations. Known as the primate capital of the world, Kibale is home to 13 primate species, including habituated chimpanzees. The evening is spent resting in anticipation of the chimp trek.

After an early breakfast, you set off into Kibale Forest with an experienced ranger guide to track chimpanzees. The trek is rewarding, as you observe chimps swinging through the trees, grooming, and feeding. In the afternoon, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular park, known for its diverse wildlife and beautiful Kazinga Channel.

Begin the day with a game drive in Kasenyi Plains, where lions hunt Uganda kobs and elephants graze against a backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains. Later, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lakes Edward and George. Expect to see large concentrations of hippos, buffalo, crocodiles, and water birds.

The journey continues south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The scenic drive takes you through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. By evening, you will arrive at Bwindi, ready for the highlight of the trip.

After an early briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, you will enter Bwindi’s dense rainforest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can be demanding, but the reward is priceless—an hour in the presence of these gentle giants is one of the most moving wildlife encounters in the world. After the trek, begin the drive back to Entebbe, marking the end of your unforgettable 8-day safari.

This 8-day adventure is the ultimate Ugandan safari, combining savannah game drives, thrilling boat cruises, chimpanzee tracking, and the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. From the thunder of Murchison Falls to the silent stare of a silverback gorilla in Bwindi, this journey will leave you with memories of Uganda’s wild beauty that last a lifetime.
